9 de October de 2024JBS Terminals has announced an expansion of its portfolio service, launching a cabotage line in partnership with Norcoast Shipping. The inaugural berthing is scheduled for the first half of October 2024.
This service will cover South, Southeast, Northeast, and North regions in Brazil.
Norcoast transports diverse products, including refrigerated cargo for protein producers, household appliances, construction materials, packaging, wood, and more.
Cabotage shipping generates fewer emissions per ton of cargo compared to road and air transport, thereby reducing the carbon footprint associated with goods transportation. This aligns with the growing global focus on climate change and sustainability.
Aristides Júnior, CEO of JBS Terminals, expressed his enthusiasm for the new cabotage service in Santa Catarina in partnership with Norcoast, saying, “We are very pleased with the start of this partnership, as we recognize the potential of cabotage in Brazil.”
