JBS Terminais Announces MSC Shipping Service with Route to/from Asia

JBS Terminals has announced a new maritime service, the CARIOCA, provided by MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company).

This service marks the return of full-container services to the Port of Itajaí. The first call for this line is scheduled for the second half of October 2024, with weekly schedules.

The service rotation will be as follows: Qingdao (China), Busan (South Korea), Ningbo (China), Shanghai (China), Shenzhen (China), Singapore, Colombo (Philippines), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Santos (Brazil), Paranaguá (Brazil), Itajaí (Brazil), Imbituba (Brazil), Santos (Brazil), Sepetiba (Brazil), Colombo (Philippines), Singapore, Qingdao (China).

The main export products from Santa Catarina to Asia includes Animal Protein (48%) and Wood and derivatives (40%), as household appliances in the import flow.
